## Understand the two fixed canvases
A 3300×1275 or 2790×2460 wrap is a finite rectangle. Its outer edges are not recorded as periodic, so repeating the rectangle can create visible discontinuities.

A 1200-square PNG can be repeated from verified source construction, but it is not pre-fitted to a mug or tumbler. Build a separate working canvas from exact blank measurements.
## Understand the square paper
The 3600-square JPG is a larger finite paper output paired to the repeat design. Compare its crop and motif scale with a tile-built canvas before treating them as interchangeable.
## Measure the intended output

Mark where fixed-wrap edges meet or where a tile-built canvas crosses the production boundary. Keep critical motifs and any added text away from uncertain overlap, handle, taper, top, and bottom zones.
## Map the visible front
Identify the intended front-facing area using the exact manufacturer template. Curvature, handle placement, taper, and overlap can move a focal object away from the apparent center.
## Count major motifs
Count major fruit-like, moon-like, star-like, and supporting forms with one consistent threshold after final scale and crop are set.
## Compare motif scale
Measure representative large, median, and small motifs relative to the intended visible area. A thumbnail cannot establish scale on a curved blank or enlarged repeat surface.
## Compare motif density
