## Start with the decision the wall must support

## Draw the usable field before arranging images

## Build an identity register for all nine artworks

Open the selected ratio archive and copy every exact filename into a nine-row register. Add observable features only: a cluster of book-like spines, one lamp-like highlight, shelf-like horizontal bands, tabletop-like objects, background tone, focal scale, placement of the main form, and negative space. Give each row enough detail to catch an accidental swap.

Avoid converting decorative resemblance into factual identification. A dark row of invented spine-like rectangles does not establish readable titles, authors, publishers, editions, genres, ownership, or a real collection. A warm lamp-like patch does not establish a brand, model, bulb, wiring method, material, age, safe operating distance, or lighting performance.

Keep the filename visible when you make preview sheets, paper cards, crop screenshots, and print orders. Descriptions such as “artwork three has a tall pale spine-like group at left and a small amber highlight at lower right” are more useful for identity control than an unsupported literary or product name.

## Test book-like detail from normal sightlines

Create a labeled preview near the intended physical size. View it from both recorded positions in daylight and under the room's normal lamps. Rate spine-like separations, narrow shelf-like edges, tiny tabletop-like accents, and tonal transitions as clear, borderline, or lost. Note the actual distance and angle for each rating.

A bright monitor can make small contrasts look stronger than they will on paper. Glazing can place a reflected window over the finest marks. Dark wall paint can reduce separation around shadowed forms. Test those conditions rather than promising that a particular size will remain legible everywhere.

If important detail disappears, compare a larger supported output, a closer display field, a wider mat, less reflective glazing, more spacing, or a smaller six-file rotation. Do not sharpen, redraw, enlarge one motif selectively, or invent readable lettering to rescue the image. The test concerns visible decorative detail, not the identity or value of any depicted book.

## Chart shelf rhythm without inventing a collection

For each artwork, mark the height and direction of its strongest shelf-like horizontal. Count major book-like groups, note whether the composition is dense or open, and classify the principal focal form as small, medium, or large. Also record whether the darkest mass sits high, centered, low, left, or right.

Lay filename cards in the supplied sequence. Then test a second sequence that distributes dense spine-like groups and strong horizontals across the full arrangement. Several shelf bands aligned at one height can create an accidental stripe. Several dark compositions together can make one corner visually heavy.

This chart is a layout aid. Similar bands do not prove that images show the same room, shelf, library, title, author, publisher, edition, material, period, or owner. Preserve the filename attached to every card so a visually improved sequence does not break product identity.

## Audit lamp-like highlights and background tone

Make a separate light-value grid. For each file, record the background as light, middle, or dark; the brightest lamp-like or window-like patch as small, medium, or large; and the negative space as low, medium, or high. Note where the brightest area sits inside the crop.

Compare one arrangement that alternates bright and dark fields with another that creates a gradual transition. Observe both from the two normal viewpoints. A group of warm highlights may look balanced head-on yet collapse into one bright cluster from the doorway.

These are visual observations, not lighting advice. Lamp-like forms in the artwork provide no electrical, bulb, wiring, heat, fire, placement, maintenance, repair, or illumination guidance. Follow current manufacturer instructions for real lamps and keep frames clear of heat and open flame.

## Compare two full-size paper arrangements

Cut nine paper rectangles to the exterior dimensions in the frame ledger. Label each rectangle with position, filename, ratio, and visible opening. Test a measured three-by-three grid first. Record total width and height, horizontal and vertical gaps, clearance below the ceiling, clearance above furniture, and distance from doors, vents, lamps, and traffic.

For a second arrangement, try three vertical trios, a centered cluster with staggered outer pairs, or a long row only if the measured field genuinely supports it. Recalculate the boundary after every geometry change. Do not rely on a phone mockup that ignores exterior moulding and gaps.

## Decide whether nine frames earn their workload

## Review every crop as a separate approval

Upload each exact selected file to the intended provider and inspect its current preview. Record filename, ratio, requested size, border option, orientation, provider, review date, and visible crop. Look for complete book-like groups, important shelf edges, lamp-like highlights, tabletop-like forms, and enough breathing room around the focal area.

Never approve all nine from one representative preview. A fill control might clip a bright accent in one composition, crowd the end of a shelf-like band in another, and remove needed negative space in a third. Keep the identity register beside the screen to detect a swapped file.

If a preview harms the composition, try another delivered ratio, a different opening, a border adjustment, another provider, or no order for that position. Do not stretch, mirror, generatively fill, or make undocumented changes. Keep the original archive separate from any provider working copy.

## Proof the file with the hardest combined test

Choose one artwork that combines fine spine-like separation, a shelf-like horizontal, a small lamp-like highlight, a tonal transition, and an element close to the crop boundary. Order a single proof using the intended provider, paper, size, ratio, border, and settings.

Inspect the proof from both viewpoints in daylight and under normal room lamps. When practical, test it behind the intended glazing. Record visible detail, crop accuracy, wall contrast, paper surface, glare, and the match between the saved preview and delivered print.

One acceptable proof supports only that exact file and setup. It does not guarantee the other eight outputs, later provider settings, exact color, lifespan, reduced glare, or room fit. A poor proof is evidence to revise the plan, not permission to invent material, age, literary, historical, provenance, or authenticity claims.

## Separate decorative planning from room safety

The paper plan cannot certify the wall, frames, mats, glazing, hardware, furniture, lamps, or installation. Record wall construction, frame condition, backing, approximate weight, mounting system, nearby heat, moisture, traffic, and furniture as separate physical facts.

Follow current instructions from the manufacturers of every real component. Keep work below ceilings, clear of furniture and active lamps, and away from persistent moisture, steam, splash, heat, and flame. Consult a qualified installer whenever attachment, wall construction, load, height, clearance, or local requirements remain uncertain.

Decorative book-like imagery supplies no reading recommendation, bibliographic record, appraisal, preservation method, or collecting guidance. Decorative lamp-like imagery supplies no electrical or fire-safety guidance. Those boundaries protect the shopper from confusing visual resemblance with real-world instruction.

## Preserve archives and a tested recovery record

Create one project folder containing the five original ZIP archives, the print-and-frame guide, personal-use terms, opening ledger, filename register, detail ratings, shelf-rhythm chart, light-value grid, viewpoint notes, paper-layout photographs, crop approvals, proof notes, and final filename-to-position map.

Keep original archives read-only. Store crop screenshots, provider previews, room photographs, paper templates, and working copies separately. Maintain a backup appropriate to your privacy needs. Test recovery by opening a copied JPG, guide, and terms, then match that filename to the register.

Revise when an outer frame crowds a boundary, small forms merge, shelf bands align unintentionally, bright accents cluster, glare masks detail, or a preview clips an identity feature. Pause when wall construction, hardware, frames, glazing, heat, moisture, lamp clearance, traffic, cost, delivery, or installation still requires guessing.

This workflow cannot promise a real title, author, publisher, edition, readable text, brand, material, age, function, safety, historical source, provenance, authenticity, mood, exact color, crop, fit, visibility, cost, delivery, wall condition, output quality, or decor result.
